Overview

MOV is a file extension for Apple's QuickTime File Format to play multimedia files. MOV files can house different media files using multiple tracks and store audio, video, text files and others in a container. If you are a devotee of Apple products, you will often see MOV files since it is the default format to store video files. MP4 and MOV are alike in some aspects (MOV vs MP4). For example, both formats are lossy and often used to distribute videos online, but MP4 is more popular, compatible with a large array of devices, media players, and services.

Structure

How to Use MOV Files

Multiple platforms can play MOV files in addition to iTunes and QuickTime. You can also play MOV video files on your PC. To do this, you need to upload the files to the cloud through Google Drive. This way, you can not only archive the videos in the cloud, but also stream them on a browser.
