Can't find phone numbers? Check if they're hidden

Aside from your Android phone memory and SIM card, the phone numbers from the contact list are also saved from other third-party chat apps like WhatsApp and email service. All these phone numbers can sometimes become hidden when the settings are corrupted after the app or Android OS is updated.

So, if you can't find the contact number, configure the settings in Contacts app to verify if all the contacts are being displayed completely in your phone before performing the recovery of the lost phone numbers on Android phones.

  • Run Contacts app on your Android. Then, click on the "Menu" option (three-dots icon).
  • In the resulting menu, select "Contacts to display".
  • Make sure "All contacts" option is checked.

If the phone numbers are just hidden rather than be deleted, the lost contacts should be back now.

If you still fail to find out the numbers you saved from incoming or outgoing calls after it shows up all the contacts, they might be deleted or lost. Below we've explained how to recover deleted numbers on Android phone, as well as the contact information like address, name, email, job title, or more.
