For a local computer account, the user name and password information created in it is only tied to that computer itself and can't be accessed from other devices with Internet connection. Another method is using a Windows 10 password recovery disk. It is a specially created CD disk or USB flash drive that can be used to regain access to your computer files and information if you've forgotten your password. However, this is only available that you create it ahead of time for use when you are locked out.

As you can see in the screen, the program supports creating a password reset disk for Windows 10 using USB drive or CD/DVD media. In this example, I will take a USB drive.
Take a USB drive into the USB port of computer, then press "USB device" button to create a reset disk. The creation process will take a few seconds.
Once done, remove the Windows 10 password reset disk from the machine.
Step 2: Configure the BIOS of locked Acer machine to boot from the password reset disc
Attatch the password reset disk you just made to your locked Acer computer.
Since the problematic computer boots from the Windows normally every time you turn on it, you will have to change the boot order option on BIOS Setup to boot from the Windows 10 password reset disk.
1) If you're using a computer with Windows 10 preinstalled – it should use UEFI BIOS which can speed and secure startup, you have to access the UEFI BIOS and disable Secure Boot, then follow the traditional way to set legacy BIOS to boot from CD/ DVD or USB drive.
You can also follow the Acer official article about: Windows 10: Access the UEFI BIOS on Acer.
2) However, if you've installed Windows 10 on an existing computer (e.g. upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10) that uses the legacy BIOS, you can simply follow the article about how to set legacy BIOS to boot from CD/DVD or USB drive.
Step 3: Reset the administrator and user password on Windows 10 with program
After you have BIOS boot order option reconfigured, restart your locked Acer machine.
Wait until the Acer computer restart to boot from the Windows 10 reset password disk you just created, it will eventually display an interface on front of you, as shown below:
It's time to reset your lost password on Windows 10. Select a Windows OS (this can be ignore if it is only one OS running on your Acer machine), then in the list of usernames that's displayed, select the account you want to reset, click "Reset" button and you're off.
The program will help you reset the Admin and regular user account to empty (blank) password on Windows 10. For those who use it to reset the domain password on Windows server 2012/ 2008/ 2003/ 2000, the password will be set to Spower@2011.
After the process completes, restart your computer by pressing "Reboot" button, and remove the Windows 10 password reset disk from the computer (important!) in case of boot from it again.
That's it. Once you restart your Acer computer, you'll be logged into your chosen account with blank password. To be safe, as soon as you've regained access to your Acer machine, configure a new password.
